Who we are

My name is Jörn Hendrik Ast, and I founded the New Work Heroes to guide people like you on your journey toward work that fulfills and empowers you. The big transformative goal of my life is to figure out how to make good work possible for all of us. I am focused on new forms of teamwork, on a modern concept of leadership and, above all, on how we as humans can fully develop our competencies and self efficacy.

Founder Story

The New Work Heroes were founded in November 2018 with the vision of helping people and organizations actively shape the workplace of tomorrow.
With the release of our first book, we laid the foundation for a platform that combines personal development with modern work methods.

One of our core products, the Career Test, has been used thousands of times and has helped people clearly identify their skills and career superpowers.
This success led to the creation of additional products such as the “Workbook for Career Heroes”, the self-learning program “New Work Adventure”, and our latest product, the “New Work Heroes Report”. These formats provide practical tools that make transformation tangible and impactful.

Since our founding, we have conducted coachings and workshops in Germany, Turkey, and Portugal, inspiring people around the world.
With over 100 podcast episodes, creative projects like the film series “New Work Scenes”, the art project “Wish Frame”, and numerous collaborations, we continue to advance the vision of a meaningful, people-centered working world.

Self-efficacy

The pillars of our work are personal development and competency-based coaching. Through our Career Hero Typology, coaching programs, and books, we aim to reach as many people as possible and strengthen their self-efficacy.

New Work

We see this as our North Star, our Big Transformative Goal: to work toward answering the question, “How can work be made better for people?”
New methods of collaboration and organizational development are the tools we use to achieve this.

Good Design

We love good design Beyond a well-thought-out color scheme, suitable paper quality, and unique fonts, design is also the driving force behind our work in coaching, online programs, and books. This is where our maker energy shines at its best.

Community

Planetary resources

The transformations humanity is facing go far beyond the question of how work is changing. Still, the way we conduct business has a critical impact on our planet’s resources. The New Work Heroes see themselves as part of this transformation.

The image of career heroes and the hero’s journey is a central element of our work and coaching programs. It’s about approaching big topics like transformation, crisis, and change with high energy, while also embracing fun and ease.
