Who we are
My name is Jörn Hendrik Ast, and I founded the New Work Heroes to guide people like you on your journey toward work that fulfills and empowers you. The big transformative goal of my life is to figure out how to make good work possible for all of us. I am focused on new forms of teamwork, on a modern concept of leadership and, above all, on how we as humans can fully develop our competencies and self efficacy.

Founder Story
The New Work Heroes were founded in November 2018 with the vision of helping people and organizations actively shape the workplace of tomorrow.
With the release of our first book, we laid the foundation for a platform that combines personal development with modern work methods.
One of our core products, the Career Test, has been used thousands of times and has helped people clearly identify their skills and career superpowers.
This success led to the creation of additional products such as the “Workbook for Career Heroes”, the self-learning program “New Work Adventure”, and our latest product, the “New Work Heroes Report”. These formats provide practical tools that make transformation tangible and impactful.
Since our founding, we have conducted coachings and workshops in Germany, Turkey, and Portugal, inspiring people around the world.
With over 100 podcast episodes, creative projects like the film series “New Work Scenes”, the art project “Wish Frame”, and numerous collaborations, we continue to advance the vision of a meaningful, people-centered working world.

Self-efficacy
The pillars of our work are personal development and competency-based coaching. Through our Career Hero Typology, coaching programs, and books, we aim to reach as many people as possible and strengthen their self-efficacy.

We see this as our North Star, our Big Transformative Goal: to work toward answering the question, “How can work be made better for people?”
New methods of collaboration and organizational development are the tools we use to achieve this.
Good Design
We love good design Beyond a well-thought-out color scheme, suitable paper quality, and unique fonts, design is also the driving force behind our work in coaching, online programs, and books. This is where our maker energy shines at its best.
Community

A Collaboration with Dorsa Ahari
In the world of personal development, the effect of vision boards or postcards with affirming In the world of personal development, the effect of vision boards or postcards with affirming statements has become an integral part. It was only natural to develop a product like the Wish Frame – a passe-partout frame for DIN A5 cards with a unique purpose.
Each artwork in this frame represents a phase of the hero’s journey.
Of course, life’s complexity cannot be fully captured in stages. But the beauty of the hero’s journey lies in its ability to inspire and encourage. This extraordinary project invites you to consciously reflect on your own path and take your next steps with strength and confidence.
For the design of the cards, we collaborated with the Iranian artist Dorsa, who is based in Berlin. As a self-taught artist and programmer, she explores the deep layers of the human mind and soul through her collages. Her works connect inner emotions with the world around us, drawing inspiration from the diverse cultures and places she has experienced – from the vibrant streets of Iran to the bustling cities of London and Berlin.

Vidam illustrates New Work
The illustrations for the quote cards were created in collaboration with Vidam, a visual artist and illustrator based in Berlin.
Vidam is known for his vibrant and humorous characters that blend color, joy, and abstract elements. His artworks are exhibited worldwide, and he frequently collaborates with renowned artists, including the street art collective THE WEIRD.
The limited edition includes ten quote cards that tell a connected hero’s journey as part of the New Work Adventure.
Each card represents a step along the way, designed to inspire and empower you to achieve your goals. This exceptional work was recognized in 2021 at the Art Directors Club Awards in the Illustration category – a testament to the creative and artistic quality of this project.

With the New Work Scenes, we have created a high-quality video format that highlights the flaws of our working world with disarming clarity and prompts reflection. Each video is a work of art in its own right – profound, inspiring, and thought-provoking. While the complexity of our working world may not allow for simple answers, the New Work Scenes invite you to adopt new perspectives and take bold steps toward change.
Our goal is to inspire and encourage people to embrace real transformation.
