New Work Heroes Wish Frame
Welcome to the first edition of the New Work Heroes Wish Frame. "The Collage Edition" contains four unique artworks that you can choose for your Wish Frame, according to the phase you are currently going through in your life.
Each piece of artwork represents a stage of the Hero’s Journey. Perhaps the complexity of life cannot be grasped by looking at it in stages alone. But the beauty of the hero's journey is that it can inspire and encourage. That is the aim of this extraordinary project.
May these four works of art inspire you, give you strength and accompany you on your own hero's journey: your life.
the four works of art:
The Heroe's Journey
Abyssos
The first artwork, Abyssos, deals with the doubts and uncertainties that lie at the beginning of every significant journey. This work is predominantly dark, but with subtle hints of hope. It symbolises the feeling of being stuck and drowning in fear, but also shows a glimmer of hope that encourages people to persevere. As Dorsa describes: "If you hold on to that glimmer of hope, you will find a way to make your soul or your heart sparkle."
Metamorphose
The second artwork, Metamorphosis, takes up the theme of transformation and rebirth. This bright and light piece features images of butterflies that symbolise the profound shift from doubt to self-discovery. It illustrates the journey from caterpillar to butterfly and emphasises how important it is to follow an emotion until it becomes clear and unfolds fully.
Agon
The third artwork, Agon, deals with balancing inner energies and overcoming deep-rooted fears. This composition shows a female body with elements representing both male and female energies and a snake, a symbol of transformation and rebirth. Dorsa explains that "as humans, we need to have our feminine and masculine energies in balance. And that is what is incredibly out of balance in the world right now. This work of art underlines the need to accept and harmonise both sides of ourselves.
Lusis
The fourth and final artwork, Lusis, reflects the integration and acceptance of the different aspects of the self. The harmonious, pastel-coloured picture shows two figures merging into one. It symbolises the culmination of the journey in which different parts of oneself are accepted and integrated. This piece stands for a state of balance and harmony, for mastering one's own inner world and for accepting strengths and weaknesses.
The Wish Frame:
In the world of personal development, the effect of vision boards or postcards with affirming, the effect of vision boards or postcards with affirming statements has become an integral part. With the New Work Heroes publishing house, we have been producing postcards in all possible forms in collaboration with artists for years. So it was obvious to develop a product like the Wish Fame, a passe-partout frame for DIN A5 cards with a very special design.
meet the artist: DORSA AHARI
Dorsa is an Iranian artist based in Berlin. As a self-taught artist and computer scientist, she embarks on a journey through collage, delving into the complex realms of the human mind and soul, creating a powerful connection between inner feelings and the world around us. Inspired by the different cultures and places she has encountered - from the vibrant streets of Iran to the bustling cities of London and Berlin - Dorsa aims to capture the universal human experience.
Like a beautiful melody, her collages resonate with the viewer and invite them to reflect on the threads that connect us all.
In a changing world, she hopes her collages will illuminate the dance between our thoughts and the world and spark conversations that cross borders and boundaries. Ultimately, her art is an exploration, an invitation and a celebration of the wonders that arise when we focus on what makes us human.
"For me, collage is a way of communicating the journey of my soul and translating it into the physical world. I use parts that already exist, upcycle unwanted pages and magazines. It's like technology, but in a sensitive way. I want to encourage my audience to question their thought processes and not be afraid of change."
